Discussion on radiator hoses and thermostat

I was sold a Stant 13858. The only possible added benefit of the new thermostat is that it has a pressure relief on it.
Installed the thermostat tonight, and replaced both upper and lower rad hoses. I ordered a lower hose from Ross, (the Gates one from this wiki), and it fit perfectly. I had a heck of a time finding the upper, but it turns out that it crossed fine to a DAYCO 70986. You will see that it is a little long, but a good knife blade took care of that.
I took several photos of the original braided type hose to the replacement hoses and the thermostats.
