LED Dash Light Bulb
Information gathered from various threads discussing replacing dash lights with LED bulbs. First and foremost you will lose the ability for the dimmer switch to function properly as LED bulbs do not respond to voltage changes like the old filament bulbs did. There is a fellow whom makes a Protizmo controller (PWMs) which will provide the dimmer function. Not sure which version will work with our dimmer switch and folks talked about getting one but never told us whether it worked on not. I will update if that information becomes available. Answering a question from another post here for completeness:
They are "BA9S" type. I suppose that is the socket size. Some of them fit snugly. I sanded the plastic around the periphery, and they fit better. If they are too snug they can come loose during install or removal.
Confirm from the wiring diagram before ordering but I think the bulb count is:
'65-'67
- 2 x tach
- 2 x speedo
- 1 x clock
- 4 x gauges
- 2 x turn sig (color?)
- 1 x hi beam (red)
'67.5
- 2 x tach
