311 5 Speed Rebuild

I am not going to attempt to tell you how to rebuild a 5 speed but we will save you a bundle on the the bearings required to rebuild one. Have you priced them lately? Pretty pricy from the usual sources. Robert Browne from the forum came up with the part numbers so you can purchase them from any local bearing store. They can be purchased at a fraction of the cost it would normally cost you. These are the original manufacturer bearings found in a roadster:
- 6205 - (three bearings)
- 6204 - (one)
- 6304 - (one)
- 6306N - bearing with an external snap ring - (two)
Sorry if this upsets anyone but I am all for saving money. We all know how pricy parts can get. And thanks Robert for taking the time to investigate and share this information.
