1965-67 1600
The 1600 began appearing about half way through 1965. The 65 1500 already had the dash. The big differences for the 1600 were the 1.6 liter engine, 4 speed synchronized transmission, brakes-disc in front-drums in back, fender flares, negative ground system, radiator, and carbs with choke controlled by separate cables vs. linkage. Wheels were changed to 14" with new hub caps that would be pretty much carried though the rest of the models. Also added was a radiator overflow reservoir. The horns were now the rounded type. Also the gear shift knob is now the "8 ball" type, with the shift pattern on a plate instead of the knob. The front grill was changed as well.
