Stan's brace will not work for the single master cylinder cars. Both my 65 and 66 were severely cracked around that area. I sandblasted the area to get a good look at any rust. I then proceeded to weld the -hit out of the cracks. I ground them down, primed and painted and so far so good. I guess you might be able to be real creative and make some sort of reinforcement plate to put in there. You cannot put one on the inside because of the reinforcing already there. --And if you put it on the outside you will throw the geometry of the pedal off because the master will sit out the thickness of whatever plate you use. Anyway, welding worked for me.
