Brass hose fittings...

Post by Minh »

Hey guys...

Where did you guys go to replace that brass hose barb fitting that is attached tp on the water pump and intake manifold.

I need three of em to finish rebuilding the intake manifold brass fittings for the pre-heat water jacket.

The brass fitting is a 3/8 male thread end with a 5/8 pipe rubber hose bib end. The middle is hex nutted to bolt it in. It should be the same for both SU and Solex.

Thanks... I can only seen to find these things in steel locally.

Ok...

I looked everywhere but there... True Value, ACE, Lowe's, Home Depot, C&C Plumbing, Autozone, Kragen, and CarQuest... :)

I try and stop there this evening

Thanks Russell !

The originals were steel. Pep Boys and Advance Auto Parts carry a supply of them as well. Brass is a good idea. I am surprised that you could not find them at Home Depot or Lowes. I would have figured that they would have them....
