Need help identifying a mystery box
I found this electrical box attached to the side of the steering column support on my 67.5 1600.
From the picture, it has a terminal marked IGN and the second is unmarked. I checked with an ohmmeter and there is no continuity between the two terminals. The unmarked terminal is grounded.
There is a stamp on one side - '42 8 7'. Other than those two markings, nothing.
My best guess is that the IGN side gets fed from the ignition switch but what's the second terminal for?
ps. I am looking for an electrical schematic.....I know there's one on this site

Thanks Pat!
I did find the colour schematic and can see where it fits in there. I found "1967_5 Datsun Sports Wiring Schematic rev4.pdf" on the site.

If you look on the tech wiki you will see a way to fix it. Pat

Thanks for the help. I don't yet know if it works or not, still assembling parts.
