im trying to get a head gasket set from a local forklift company. He says i need the model number to tell which one i need.
will the carb to intake gaskets work from this also?

i just need the head, carb to intake, water inlet, and i think the valve cover is ok..i already got a reusable intake/header gasket.

so what do i tell them?

thanks

Try this info, which was in the FAQ and Engine sections:

Steve:
When I got the H20 head gasket from my local nissan forklift dealer last year the part number was 11044-L1100.
The price wasn't that cheap ($50)
The dealer advised me he also could get me the aftermarket one for $13.
I opted for the aftermarket and found it to be quite acceptable.
I will dig up the packaging and PM you the info.

Do you also want this info for the forum part interchange listing?

Maybe he's afraid of selling you the wrong item and then you'll want to return it......maybe he thinks you want it for a forklift...or maybe he's an idiot.

Most parts people I've worked with just love it when the customer provides them a part number -- saves them looking it up.

You can tell your guy that, hey, I KNOW this is the right part number, or find another dealer.

Steve,

The engine serial number starts with a K and it is in the write-up. :D "They usually want a serial number for the engine you are working on. Tell 'em it starts with a K and the parts you get will work for the R16. "
Glad you got what you needed.
