Rules-we do not need no stinking rules. How about some guidelines though?

Have fun!
Share your knowledge and experiences.
No flame wars.
Be respectful of other's opinions whether you agree or not.
Have more fun!
Enjoy life!
That is all I can think of for now.

Okay-one simple rule-no photos in your signature please. Your avatar will have to suffice. If you need help with an avatar just ask. (1-31-06)

Steve - You're right, this forum rules!

Okay, sorry for the bad pun, but thanks from me (and I am sure everyone else) for keeping this and 311s up and running! TR

I second that notion, and the art of a pun is often overlooked.

Steve,

While the forum appears to be working well in the absence of a long string of constricting regulations, I have a suggestion. It seems that a few folks have figured out how to ad images to their signatures. My suggestion is to remove those. A photo for the avatar is fine, as are photos to illustrate a part, problem or solution. The photos in the signature line just slow the loading for those of us still stuck in the late 1980s with dialup...

Either that, or limit the size of the photo in the signature to one which is the same size as the Avatar.

Whatcha think boss?

rules?

Sid's suggestion was one of my random thoughts.
As an owner from somewhere other than the left coast I find the forum an invaluable source of information. It is fun, and most of the time thought provoking. Sam

Sam and Sid,

Great idea. If anyone has any suggestions please do not hesitate to email me either privately or publicly. Although I may not act on all of them it never hurts to provide your view points. Thanks.

Well, unfortunately we do need a rule:

Disparaging remark's, accusation's, and intention to start or promote conflict will not be tolerated in public or private emails---period. People in violation of this rule will be subject to discipline, at the sole discretion of the forum moderators. The first time you will be warned by PM. The second time you will receive a timeout-disabling your account for a period to be determined, and the third time you will be banned. All posts will be retained and not deleted.
