timing cover leaking

has anyone had luck using ultra grey or black in place of paper gaskets on the front cover of a 2 liter. i have a drip that i can't get rid of. my car leaks oil too. help

I use a teeny dab in the four spots where the gaskets intersect each other. They are at the top where the block, cover and head meet. The other is at the bottom where the block, cover and oil pan meet.

Since the cover is made of alluminum, it might worth to take a look if the contact surface is level and evely plained. Just a wild guess.
