Okay, I put a page up on the main site for the body pad locations. When Ben gets me the measurements I will add them. Thanks for helping me out here.

Opening an old wound here.....
The above link does not work, was this ever updated?
Has anybody decided on a "perfect" material to use as a replacement for the rust rags?

This post was pre-tech wiki. I updated the link in the above post so it works now. If I do NOT know it is broke I cannot fix it.

I think the material I used on mine was the "perfect" material. It was a piece of closed cell foam, industrial grade. I still have a large portion of a sheet, if you want it. I could send you a sample if you would like. Very rugged material.

Kyle:
Yes, that would be great, my roadster had a frame-off resto before I got it, and they kept it original, putting the what looks like carpet/horsehair back!
So as I contemplate yet another frame-off for paint - I want to put the rigtht thing back in! Let me know what you need for this! ($)

I don't want anything for it. PM me your address, and I will send a sample.

Hi Steve:
I think that the picture is still lacking the pads that go near the front - did anybody ever come across withthe locations of those? On mine theare really close to the end of the frame IIRC. I canmaybe get a picture and measuremetn this evening - if it is right on mine - which is doubtful as again it has had a frame off in the past.

I do not recall any frame pads on the front. There are rubber bits similar to the ones on the mounting brackets with a hole in the middle for the mounting bolts. Pretty sure all of the old horse hair pads are identified on the drawing. I could be wrong and will correct it if that is the case. I think Ross was selling the new rubber bits for the frame mounts at one time. I made my own out of a thinner commercial grade neopreme I used for my new frame pads. I had a hole punch at work that came in real handy for those. Let me know what you discover.
