Custom Moulding option

Post by eastmedia »

Hi All,

We know how expensive those moulding pieces can be. I decided to go an alternate route with mine. While cruising the local pick-a-part I came across a 510 wagon and a 260z. I pulled off all the mouldings and was able to adapt them to the roadster. Not OEM but pretty good looking.

Held on with a few plastic body panel push pins and a few small screws into new holes drilled.

The ends unscrew and fit into the new cut length. There were two kinds of tips, chrome and satin. The satins polished up really nice with a little Mother's mag polish.

Email me with questions.
Good luck,
Ron

They look pretty nice. I am one of those that prefers to remove the molding but yours look good.

Like Nokia... The rubber molding comes in a variety of other customizable colors.

I'm like Steve, in terms of removal, but I must say that yours look nice. Thank you for the pix. Sam

Turned out pretty nice.
Good to know that there is an option to the expensive originals.
