Id go with a 2 axel dovetail, but I have seen a 2 horse trailer converted to fit one. They cut the shell off and drove the car on. The ramps had to be costom made and were fairly long, but it was just wide enough to fit the car on. The doors couldn't be opened however.

True car haulers are overkill for a Roadster. I would suggest that the minimum that you would consider be a 14'x 6' utility trailer. If you go with a 16' trailer, you can get a locking truck tool box and bolt that to the front for more storage. A local guy has done that - it was a great idea. Also, you may want to consider investing in a winch. It may make loading and unloading easier if you are solo.

Some folks recommend the single axle trailers, and they are fine for short hauls, but for a nice roadster being taken any distance, I agree with Will. Get the dual axle model. You will be happier in the long run.

A final tip is to take the car with you when you go shopping to actually test fit it before you buy.

That horse trailer conversion was pretty nice, just fit the roadster.

I like brakes on a trailer, too. Not needed for a 2000 pound car, but nice if you ever have to make a panic stop! TR

I used a "car dolly" to trailer mine home when I got it. It is much lighter than a trailer. It is less than half the length of trailer so its eaiser to store.

The roadster still make contact with the road with its two rear wheels.

It is a specialty item so it does not have alternatives uses as would a trailer.
