Finially after 2.5 months of frustration, stupid setbacks and other issues, the engine is built. It will go in tomorrow after work. I honestly can't beleve it. I'll post first impressions tomorrow night.

WOW
Will,
Congrats on the build. Now ou just have to restrain yourself for a while to let it break in, not break apart. Sounds like we will be in fine shape to toy with some Alfa's. Oh yeah. My white car is ready to go. New 4 core rad. and it's cool as a cucumber.

Glad to read your months of suffering and biking to work is over. Try to contain while your breaking your engine in.

Foiled again...
Well, the engine is mostly ready to go, I'm just missing the big bolt and stud to hold the bottom part of the water pump on. I can't find it anywhere.
Figures. Its all buttoned up on the stand, I have turned it over with a big torque wrench and the compression is up there. I hope my starter will turn it ove once eaverything seats.
It looks like I won't be driving to work tomorrow.
