Plastic trunk mat/

Post by Ratster »

I don't know if this really qualifies as a "tech" item but didn't know where else to post it. I'd like to save the original plastic trunk mat in the ratster. The rubber/vinyl/plastic stuff is stained and feels brittle. Is there any products out there that could bring this thing back to decent shape. I'd buy a new one but the ones I've seen on Ebay look worse than mine.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

cheers

I say clean it up real nice with whatever detergent you can get your hands on without damaging the mat.

Then give a fresh coat of "very good" vinyl paint. It will add a fresh brand new layer of vinyl to the surface in whatever color you wish.

Found this on the web. If the mat is vinyl the web page could be very helpful.
