Hello: I'm new to the forum.
I'm resoring a '70 2000.
I would like to replace the Nissan seats with a nicer article, and thought you folks could recommend something.
The new seats are great, but many look too "spacey" for my tastes (and they're not narrow enough, either.)
Also, has anyone out there made a color change to the interior? My car is white, and the thought of changing it over to red is very attractive. The black's OK, but RED.... wow!
Do they make red dash covers?

RE:Seats and Other Things
First off, welcme and thanks for registering. Many of us have used Miata seats as a replacement for the stock seats. Very comfortable, relatively cheap, and easy to install. Some one else has mentioned using early Porche seats. Do a search on Ebay to look at the Miata and Porche seats. I know nothing about the Porche seats. As to the interior-many people have changed their interior colors. I have seen custom greys and light brown to mention a couple. Red interiors are available from the roadster vendors. You could use a interior paint on a dash cap to paint it any color you choose. A friend has a 70 2 liter that is white and has a red interior. Pretty sweet looking combination.
Hope this helps.

Seats
As Steve stated earlier, Miata seats work really well. I have them in my car. Datsun 240Z seats are also common.

If you have the extra $150 go with Porsche later 911 or 944... They're powered, real leather, and made by Recarro.
Earlier ones have no power and cost less.
The only draw back is that you are compete with 914 enthuisiast for them, so get em why you can.
