Need a windshield

Post by darkbane »

I'm having trouble finding someone who supplies windshields for a 67.5 1600 low wind shield.

I found one at Rallye Ent. but they want like over $700 bucks for it, plus shipping from CA I think. Yet the windshield for a 68 model is only 300 bucks.

Are the windshields for a '67 really that hard to find.

I could almost find a junked 1600 for 700 bucks.

Can anybody give me some other options, if there are any.

I'd appreciate any help

RE:Low Windshield Glass

Unfortunately you are experiencing one of the shocks of roadster ownership. Up until several years ago the windshields were still a dealership item for around $200.00 and some change. They are pretty much NLA now. You might give Dean of Fairlady Products a call. He had some but they were pricy too! Check with your local automotive glass place. A buddy got one for his low windshield at a considerable savings. It never hurts to check. There are some after market ones that come out of south america but it is not an easy item to find.

You can be patient and see what someone has stripped and put on sale on EBay.

Funny. Everytime somebody post a need for a specific part within a few days it is available on EBay.

Anyways, make a lot calls some and ask for referalls. Who knsow what you might turn up. Free long distance cell phones are great!

Well it's just a simple crack through the windshield, but nothing too major, but it is on my todo list. Maybe I'll just wait it out and see how the market goes over some time.

Thanks for the input guys
