Specs on .060 U20 rings

Post by SLOroadster »

Does anyone have the specs for a set of .060 oversized rings for a u20? I need the specs so I can send them to Total Seal and see if they have any rings that will work. My engine is really tired, it won't idle at all anymore (but will still get 30 mpg on the freeway, go figure), and it smokes really bad (sorry to anyone who had to follow me on the poker run, I didn't mean to be running a smoke screen on those roads). I have almost all the parts to rebuild this thing and when its done, it will be illegal as
heck to race, but it will be awesome on the street. When I do take it to an autoX, if I get protested, I won't hide anything. I'm just there for the fun.

thanks,
Will
Sorry, I find modern engine swaps revolting. Keep your G, R, or U series in your Roadster!

They "should" be the same as the L20 0.60 over. The only difference is the 2nd ring. The L20 2nd ring is bigger than the U20.

I have the info for non-oversized U20 rings if this helps..
1. The side clearance in inches are .002-.003 for all three.
2. The end gap in inches are .010-.016 top, .006-.012 2nd, and .006-.012 oil
3. Piston to bore clearance in inches are .001-.002

Piston diameter new is 3.4323-3.4312 inches
Max piston diameter oversize is 3.4905-3.4925 inches
