For those of you plannig to or already have accomplished relocating your battery to the trunk I would also recommend a "kill switch" installtion "while you are at it". Mine is a simple two-position marine switch mounted on the back wall of my trunk right next to where the positive lead runs through on its way to the starter.
Not only does it keep people honest, it is invaluable as a trouble shooting tool when you are working on electrical issues.
When I replaced my starter, it was nice to know that the juice was off without having to remove a lead from the battery. It also allowed me to test the ignition switch and of course the correct installation of my new starter. If you are already going to run the leads, why not out a switch in there to make your life easier/

I have not got the kill swith yet.
I am debating which one to get
1. The round plastic twisty the pops off the connection, leaving a floating cable.
2. The lever switch one the mounts on the battery post, leaving no floating cable.
Anyone got recomendations from experiece?
Thanks...

Mine is a simple two position switch commonly sold at Marine shops. Batteries on boats present challenges. You really don't want your switch on or near the battery post. By drilling a hole in the back of your trunk and then running the leads to and from the battery to it means they are remote from the battery terminals. Much safer. If I can find one, I will post a pic of my installation

Here is a pic showing the location of my kill switch. I really like the convienence of the location and ease of use. It is a very worthwhile upgrade.
