Where does Throttle Lock cable go?

Post by Minh »

My throttle lock cable is not connected to anything. At least I think its a throttle lock. It's the one with the "T" on it right?

Where the heck does it go :?:

This is that thingy-mabob that acts like a cruise control.

It attaches to the throttle lever/rod deal just above or below (don't remember) where the throttle cable itself attaches to that rod - Back behind the cam cover near the fire wall at the center of the firewall. When you look at the rod, you'll see that it's slotted and has TWO cavities for the cable end balls. One cavity faces inward, one outward. The outward facing one is for the throttle lock. By the way, it is a niffty cruise control on flat roads but it's really there for synching the carbs at speed. You need to synch them at idle, and then again at speed - I usually do it at around 3K rpm.
