Fuel Injection ??

Post by Angermgt101 »

Is their any fuel injection for the 1600. I am planning to rebuild for the H20 stroker and wanted to go to some kind of fuel injection set up. any pictures/part numbers, web pages would be a help. I know their are some setups for the z strait 6 but have never seen anything for the 1600. Thanks

I've posted a few times on this topic for a stock engine conversion to EFI.

Your best bet on an after market fuel injection electronics is to adapt a Volkswagen Bug's aftermarket EFI system without the jets and such... Volkswagen motors come in 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800, 2000, and 2200. You need just the eletronics and sensors. Off the top of my head CB Performance has them.

Then you will need the injectors, intake, and manifold. A few months I spotted a guy on EBay that sells the very thing you'll need. Here is his daily listings...

This was his last listing that I rememeber.

Hope this helps...

TWM also sells the DCOE footprint throttle bodies with the injectors. That with a Pierce Manifolds Weber intake for the R motor will get you half way there. TWM also sells SU footprint throttle bodies if I am not mistaken...

I am in the dark on which injection units are good and which are not - I am too old school for that newfangled stuff...

Geez Sid, you must have a maginifying glass. :)

Oh Man!!! Way cool... A SR20 EFI quad-throttle body.

No you can get the solex air induction/sucking sound undr the hood and self inflict whiplash all at the same time. The best of both worlds.

Dan in Portland and TR in Santa Rosa would be interested in this (if their budget allows).

Dude, you have the most weirdest, random, most verbose , completely off-topic posts on this site.
You need to calm down.

I ran across this company by accident.
http://www.jenvey.com/

The nearest distributor in Lance Hayward Performance, Washington, USA. If you have question there Email address is lance@haywardperformance.com

Apparently they have throttle boddies that can be fitted to the either the SU or Solex manifold (with their adapters.)

As far what kind of a progammable EMU to is up to you.

They're in the UK so I have no idea what the conversion rate is from Dollars to Pounds.
