No biggie! It's called a "Transfer Without Title."
Just have him right you a hand written receipt on paper that states:
1. Identifies the car (License plate, VIN, and Engine Number)
2. Identifies the seller (with signature and Driver's License #)
3. Identifies the buyer (with signatue and Driver's License #)
4. Date the sale was made.
5. The agreed upon sale price (used to tax)
Optional
6. Any contractual reservations (i.e. "as-is" etc...)
How long has the car been out of Registration? After 10 years that car was deleted. If the motor is the right motor for the year car it will made to be the original motor at time of registration. Any motor you have in the car at Registration is the original motor as far as DMV is concerned. The 10 year thing must apply.
well that was just the number from the vin plate...
anyway... i decided to pass on the roadster for now... at least till i get the truck nearing completion... but i will keep watching this one and might go look at it again later when i have more money...
