Well, that's tougher than the last one I did. Natone's car lost the fuel pump and the alternator in a downpour at a resturant 40 miles from the house at Watkins Glen. We did the fuel pump in the parking lot, luckilly a few other owners and a few umbrellas were present. Nathan drove 40 miles back on battery only and we did a GM swap in the driveway next morning.
On subject, wiring it the simple way. Safest/simplest way is to use the "+" coil wire to trigger a relay, relay runs the fuel pump from the battery via an inline fuse.

I would add a rollover/inertia switch where you can reach it, but it can be anywhere in the circuit.
