I got lucky. The side trim and lights are all original to the car. I just buffed them with 0000 steel wool. I splurged on new stainless steel bumpers w/o overriders from Viet Nam. I had to replace one piece of the DATSUN_1600 side trim. I also picked up new letters for the hood (contemplated going with NISSAN vs DATSUN, just need to trim a T to an I).

Short Version:
After recently installing LED bulbs into all of my gauges, I decided to replace all four rear, rubber plug mounted (early style), 2-wire turn signal, and 3-wire brake & tail light sockets and housings, with nylon twist-lock (later style), 3-wire sockets and housings. I also replaced the OEM flasher with a CEC Industries EF32RLNP LED flasher, and front and rear incandescent bulbs with LED's. Then, I spliced left "bright" wires together, right "bright" wires together, and "dim", tail lights wires together. A Hopkins #48847 tail light converter was then connected between the rear wire harnesses, and the wires from the lights.

Now, all four rear lights on my '67 provide : 4 tail lights, 4 brake lights, and for each side, 2 turn lights, like the '70 roadsters. It all works awesome !
I got a lot of inspiration and direction from previous posts by Bikermike. Thanks Mike !
I can provide more details if needed.

Description states:

"Made for Bulbs: Not for use with LEDs - Intended for bulb light systems only." Does the flasher make it work with the LEDs?

Hi Curtis,
It does indeed work with LED's. This flasher was specified in the Tech WIKI, and by several other folks.
Here are a few links for the info I looked at:

Tech WIKI Post by Jdflyer » 04 Feb 2018 04:57 pm
http://www.311s.org/pmwiki-311/pmwiki.p ... CanForLEDs

http://www.ef32rl.com/

https://www.cecindustries.com/attachmen ... 32RLNP.pdf

I can't find where anything says it's only for bulbs, and not LED's.

Nded,
You seem to be missing the weatherstripping underneath the windshield?

The car looks fantastic. Really like the light blue.

Hi Curtis,
I bought my flasher, and the LED bulbs, on Amazon at the following links:

Flasher: This Amazon description states it's LED compatible, and I've verified that it is.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P4QLLL9?ps ... ct_details

LED's - RED

Edit: Are you asking about the flasher, or the Hopkins Tail light converter ? The Hopkins #48847 is LED compatible.
I bought the converter at AutoZone, Amazon didn't have that model number. Here is the link to the Hopkins #48847 :

Keen observation Daryl!

I will be actively swapping between the regular windshield and a plexiglass speedster windscreen. The seals don't play well with frequent swapping.

Thee good news is that where I live (Largo FL), we get sunny weather 350+ days a year. I'm not worried about rain water intrusion.

A little rust problem to solve. Bracing added before cutting out old metal.

. The cut out piece prior to coating with weld thru primer.

Welded in but still need to think out the door radius bend

Now to make a lower patch panel and weld in!

Lookin good !
If Nissan had only splurged and spent like $5.00 for plastic inner fender skirting, we would all have been saved all of the ‘Typical Fairlady rot zones’.
Fiberglass fenders might have helped back in the day

Best of luck!!

I've designed a set of brackets (weld or bolt) that attach to the tub and support a plastic fender liner with plastic panel clips just like a modern car. Once I install mine I'll make them available to the community. Certainly not planning to restore my car and then throw a rock into the fender from the inside. Not gonna happen!
