VOLVO BRAKE LINES

Post by 311TONY423 »

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO IS WILLING TO SELL A SET OF BRAKE LINES NEEDED FOR THE VOLVO CONVERSION????? I CAN'T GET THIS DONE WITHOUT ORDERING A FLARING KIT FOR THE NORMAL, AND THE BUBBLE FLARE. THE KITS COST BANK! I DON'T WANT TO BUY THE FLARING KITS JUST TO USE THEM 1 TIME. ANY HELP????? THANKS.

Hey Tony,

Any of the $30 kits that you can find online will make the needed flares for the conversion. Try Summit racing for dependable service, anywhere else for a cheaper price...Almost all auto parts stores will have the same kit (typically of varying quality) for a similar price...

If you want to flare stainless line or make a lot more flares, buy one of the good $150 to $200 tools from Snap-On or MAC...

Good Luck! TR

Volvo Brake lines

The other option tony is to buy all 4 lines in the metric configuration since the bubble flare is definitely the harder flare to make. And then put the sae flares on the other side. thats what we did.

Go to your local Autozone or Kragen... They both have a loaner tool program. No worries.

Just tell them what you need and they let you use it and bring it back.
