rear end

I have gone through four rear ends in my 69 2000. Cant seem to get one set up right dose anyone have any idea what im missing. I get a very loud houling sound.

Todd,

The rear ends are pretty durable considering their function in the drive train. Howling usually indicates worn gears. I gotta ask a dumb question--did you check the rear ends for lubrication? Running them dry or low can damage gears. Usually the only thing that goes wrong with the rear ends are leaky seals and/or bad wheel bearings. Rarely you might come across an axle that has either worn or been altered by some one trying to remove the wheel bearings. Probably not much help but my two cents anyways.

Not to mention you have to go with a a heavy eighted lubricant. Do not use the standard.

Call any of the Roadster shops for the proper grade and maybe brand too.
