In gnob's latest thread post he says that his 63 1500 is up for sale.
He has been slowly working on it for 4 years but has lost interest.
The work that he has done is quality and he was aiming for a stock restoration.
This is the real deal. A very complete, original paint, REAL single carb 63 1500.
I have seen this roadster and it is GOOD.
If you have seen Ray Lim's 63 , this one is 10 times better ( SORRY Ray, )
If you want a 63 this is the one.
Ted.
You haven't seen it lately. I cleaned it up a bit. Small steps as I'm working on installing a 5 speed after my 1600 engine was rebuilt in the 70. I am planning on driving this car for a while until after the 70 is done and the 67 is swapped. Give me a couple of years. Till then, I'll be bringing this car to JCCS (Japanese Classic Car Show) on September 21, 2019 in Long Beach, CA. Thanks for lighting that fire under my buttocks...Uncle Ted!

Ron helped me with the suggested soft scrub treatment that Mike Young recommended. I just polished the chrome with blue magic. It cleaned up pretty well! I'm sorry but those are pinto hubcaps that the previous owner had installed years back. I do have the correct ones (not ford ranchero) but that will be installed after I sandblast and powder coated the rims in either red, yellow, blue, or white... I have yet to decide. Good to hear from you!

Well, Good to hear about the hub caps.
At least put the real caps on for JCCS.
It appears that some Datsun vehicles from the late 1950's to the early 1960's had body color matched wheels.
A correct 63 1500 brochure shows a red 1500 with red wheels. ( and WIDE whitewalls).
64 1500's had the standard roadster dull aluminium color wheels and narrow whitewalls.
So a white 63 1500 should have white wheels.
The 1500 STOCK Correctness Police will be watching!!!
