Yesterday second day of 89F here in Western New York. Been driving car as a daily driver all week, sunny with no rain. Pictured in front of the 1811 cabin in front of my house. Still no seats from the upholsterer guy so driving with a borrowed miata seat. Seat is too tall but gotta drive while the weather cooperates.

Roadster Drive Saturday June 3. NWDE meeting and Enumclaw Loop. 110 miles.
67 SR20DET S15, 68 SR20DET S13.
Fantastic day. Sunny, Mid 70's Clear.
Drove to our monthly Datsun Club (NWDE) meeting today.
Finally a good weather Saturday. Great turnout of 12 Roadsters and a 260 Z.
Took the scenic longer Enumclaw Loop route with Mt Rainier views for the return.

Ted.

Roadster Drive Today. Sunday. June 4. Combined Concrete and Skagit Valley loops. 254 miles.
With David N (70 2000) and Roy (69 2000. Original paint!).
Another beautiful PNW day. Sunny, Bright, Low 70's.
Combined two of our favorite longer loop drives N of Seattle.
Roy's original alternator was near death and not delivering consistent current,
but sufficient to complete the drive.

The Silva is a beautiful car. I suppose it would be blasphemy to consider a U20 and 5 speed swap eh, but the extra power would be fun. Of course you could always have Robello build an R beast and nobody would be the wiser...

Nice. A couple of questions though. Why didn't they use a 2000 radiator? That looks terrible to fill. Also, is that why there is a ball valve?

Good questions. Isn't the ball valve some kind of shut-off for heater core?

There's lot of interesting things going on there. Noted the power brake set up... is that stock?

I don't think it's stock. Not a Silvia expert, but here is Rick's stock engine bay (save for "datsun" cover and minor things):

That engine bay is not stock either. 2000 radiator, aftermarket fuel pump, and I'm guessing that is a brake booster by the battery.

It looks like a 1600 rad, modified with the filler welded on. Still has the "t" for overflow to (now gone) R16 thermostat tower:

No booster, that's that fancy ignition (transistorized,sp?):
