That's why I put a lights left on buzzer on my car. Kept trying to leave them on.

Curtis, do you have which "buzzer" you used, and how you did it available?

Used a piezo buzzer. Found the directions online. Simple, hook it to the headlight power out of the switch and the other end to an ignition on wire. Has polarity so current only goes one way. I think the positive went to the HL power. I didn't like the sound of mine so I added a resistor inline to lower the tone.

Cost maybe $3 or so since I bought a pair for both cars.

Just put in piezo buzzer on evilbay.

Received my Exedy 06020 clutch kit from Rock Auto today. Of course through a second party. Has everything you need, pressure plate, disc, throw out bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool.

Paid $86 plus shipping and tax. Checked today and it is $76, blah.

Not sure about the accuracy of clutch thread info from 2015 that I found running a search on '"Excedy 06020" But the claim is that the 06020 pressure plate is only 390kg clamping force.I thought from the factory the 1600 plate was 465 or 480kg? Many feel that is marginal and move up to 600kg. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me will chime in.

It is listed for different Datsun 1600 including the 510. Looks exactly like the plates I have but that doesn't tell me the force.

When you look up the SPL there is an AMS kit that looks to be the Exedy kit reboxed.

Wrote to Exedy, reply below.

"Thank you for your interest in Exedy products.

The NSC506 pressure plate has a clamp load of 860lb or 3824.6N."

So that seems that is in line with what I posted from the information I found from a six-year-old thread. Seems very low clamping pressure if stock was in the 4600-4800kg range. About the cheapest kit I found for the Excedy 06025 kit with 600 kg clamp pressure is $163.

Hey what's an extra "0" lol, having said that....

Datsun roadster parts.com at the bottom of the link states 465kg was stock on the SPL

https://datsun-roadster-parts.com/product/dt-275/

Dann over at Rallye mentions under pressure plate application (see below) talks about 650, 600 and 480kg applications. 480kg certainly wasn't for the 2000.

16/20 302-03, PRESSURE PLATE NI This is the 650KG Orig HP 2000 version not the std 600KG or 480KG. Also see clutch kits below. $288.70

After years (I mean YEARS) of working on my cars an hour here and there I was able to hit a milestone this Thanksgiving break. I selected a color and painted the engine bay, completed the components on the firewall, and put the body back on the chassis. I never started a build thread here, but my resto site has the photos on the resto tab under Nov 21. It really feels like it will be a car again!
