The pin is really cool Alvin. I like pins as they're small but easy to display. I only have one on the car right now, a Canadian flag from my northern brothers, in the visor. I think of them every time I see it... better than a plaque IMHO. 100 years from now the Z one will sell at auction for $100,000!

That black and white shot is classic... you should have that one mounted and on the wall (like many of your photos really). There's always some "upside" to bad things eh... forest fire smoke create beautiful sunsets in the right amounts. Close as I can get for an upside.

That last picture has me looking for a realtor. Absolutely stunning! This should be on the cover of the next calendar.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Agreed, those are great pics Ted. Mt. Baker is further north from us and requires dealing with Seattle traffic, so we have never been there. Clearly worth the drive, gonna have to plan that one now that the car is back on the road. We are very lucky to live where we do for sure. It makes the months of clouds and drizzle worth the price. With the fires and horrible storms that so many have had to deal with, I feel even more grateful and humble.
Where ever you are, enjoy the ride!

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Yesterday my son and I were able to leave Kalamalka Lake after lunch, headed north on Highway 97, through Vernon & past Swan Lake. Stayed on 97, then swung south on to Westside Road. All the way down to West Kelowna, accross the bridge & back home to our place by the university...about an hour and forty minutes.
Along Westside Road this summer forest fires burned in many spots to the road, and in places the fire jumped to the other side ... places where the hydro poles burned but have been newly replaced. And, quite sadly, lots of buildings and other property have been lost.
My intention was to do the fun drive as a tester. The car has been in the shop for tranny & engine work (more later will be added to the rolling restoration post). My fun was dampened by the charred remains of peoples' stuff...car carcasses and cinder blocks; chimneys and abandoned kiddie cars.
The little roadster behaved very well and is suited for that drive. Mother Nature, on the other hand, seems a little miffed.

Fires and storms this year... when I find myself wanting to complain about something, I just remind myself that my life and circumstances are not so bad. My thoughts to those who are truly suffering.

Datsun Roadster Drive today. 9-9-21. Turbo Teds. Sunrise on Mt Rainier. 190 miles.
Not the greatest weather but warm and the high clouds did not restrict views from Sunrise at 6400'.
Our favorite viewing parking spots were open.
Ted.

A beautiful place for sure. I am sad to see how shrunken the glaciers are however. I have a really nice view of the mountain and I've never seen it so bare. Times are a changing...
