5 speed core and driveline SOLD

Post by dads311 »

I have a 5 speed core and driveline for sale $500 OBO plus shipping. I bought the trans locally at an estate sale and was told he never bought anything that wasn't good. When I got it home I pulled the fill plug to see if there was shiny brass, no there wasn't. So it must be an early trans. I then pulled the drain plug and found what is in the picture. Turning by hand I can't feel anything and it shifts nicely into all gears. But after finding the bearing stuck to the drain plug I closed it back up and called the seller to re-negotiate the price. I never opened the case to see where the bearing might have come from. That is all the history I have on it. Oh I did buy a 5 speed from someone on this site and it is installed and working perfectly. Local pickup is also an option.

You have to look via the fill plug, all you can see from the drain plug is the counter shaft.

Thanks Dave, I did look through the fill plug and then decided to open the drain. That's when I found the bearing.
