UPDATE on Victor's Car Donation

Post by eastmedia » Fri May 04, 2012 8:41 pm

Thank you all for your generous participation in the efforts to raise money for Victor Laury.

The donations continue to come in. Please continue to spread the word about helping if you can.

Solvang was a wonderful experience for Victor.

Thanks,
Ron

Yes please, what he asked.

I have three in college but am trying to come up with some cash in support. My main question is the deadline so I know when to tell the boss "hey, we need to do this. Now."

The poster has the end date of June 10th. Since it is available electronically, I am guessing Ron draws the line at midnite of the 9th or noon on the 10th, and draws several hours later.
Thanks to all who have (and going to ) support. A noble cause and definitely making deposits in the "roadster karma" account.

I contacted Eric of unnfair.com (302 V-8 roadster of years past), and he kicked in as well, remembering many enjoyable backroads frenzies and hours of bench-racing with Victor. (a famous run over the hills to Taft in the summertime, where it was so hot and the desolate - dry -oil well splashed surroundings made the joke of the day "If I see one camel, I am outta here".

Not 200 yet?
I hope people will double and triple up when the times comes, if needed.

I really don't want my money back, regardless.

Any updates from Victor on how he is doing?

It's a beautiful car, I really hope it makes it to 300 donations so it's really worth while for him.

Hello All,

Victor continues to do well. His 240z was sold last week and he was in fine spirits.

The Roadster Raffle needs your help. There are about 2 weeks left and we are in need of 50 more ticket sales.

Please tell a friend or spread the word by any means.

Just got off my butt and made my donation. Have not had the pleasure of meeting Victor but appreciate his contributions to the roadster world and also wanted to show my appreciation to all those who make up this community. I'm up for doubling down if we get to the crunch.
