Absolutely stunning. Can't get enough of that.ted heaton wrote: ↑Thu Jul 08, 2021 10:27 pm DROPS Roadster Drive Today. Thursday. July 8 2021. 68 S2000. 203 miles. Sunrise on Mt Rainier.
Great drive to a beautiful view of Mt Rainier at Sunrise. 6400'.
Sunny and in the 70's.
Thankfully not congested with post covid-19 recreationists.
No line at the entrance!!
Got pictures from our favorite parking spot.
Drove the short fast road up to the Crystal Mt. Ski area on the return.
With DROPS members Dan R. 68 2000 and David N. 70 2000.

Drove to the Cars and Coffee in Winston Salem, NC at the South Eastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA)
Nice Roadster contingent - 4 in attendance, and spectators came up and identified at least 4 or 5 more in the area!

Sometimes, it is the short trips, which are the big wins!
Though, dusty and dirty, did a short country drive in the imported '64 1500 Okinawa roadster. Engine is sounding great. Had an engine bay scrub down and found pretty nice original paint under 57 years of grease and dirt!

DROPS Roadster Drive Today. 7-19-21. 64 1500. 195 miles. Lake Cavanaugh.
With DROPS Drivers David N, Dan R, John V and Santosh, Ted Jr, Ted.
Beautiful sunny day in the low 80's.
Big Thanks to David N. for arranging a visit to his in-laws on the lake.
WE received the FULL Lake Cavanaugh boat tour.
Saw a small steam powered boat and later visited the owner's 1900 steam powered Locomobile.
Steam boat and car rides are promised the next time we visit.
As John V commented. " This was more fun than the drive!"
Only problem was another! broken headlight lens on Dan R's roadster
Ted.

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
Ahh… Nirvana, you’d never be able to pry me away from there! And a steam bowered small boat, I didn’t even know something like that exist. And I am so jealous of that clear water. Even though Oklahoma has more water than most states, all our lakes look like chocolate milk!

Re: Where did you DRIVE this weekend? (Roadsters only!)
We live in a truly beautiful place, especially in the summer. Thankfully we have been spared the smoke and fires so far... I pray that continues and that the current burns get extinguished soon!

On Saturday, as soon as I heard the news I hopped in the roadster and drove to the shop to witness the arrival of one of the most iconic Datsun Z race cars...
