Robin Connaughton's RHD Australian spec 2000 sports. Purchased 06/1978. Solex powered U20 engine #15528 with a 5 speed gear box. A daily driver nick named "The Black Death". Soft top available. Exterior color black with a black interior. Robin hails from Sydney, NSW, Australia and is a member of the Datsun Sports Owners of Australia. Robin's comments "This car is an original Solex high screen. From VIN number it is one of the last fifty made, March 1970. It has just been "retired" onto vintage registration after being a second car for 26 years, logging up 225,000 miles. During this time most of it has been repaired and improved. but never fully restored all at once. Most of the car is still original, even the wheels are Datsun options in Australia in the 1970's. The engine and suspension have some mild mods."
