Tom Robinson's 1969 right hand drive 2 liter. Purchased in 03/1976. U20, Mikunis with a 5 speed gear box. Exterior color is red with a black interior. Car has a roll bar instslled. Soft top available for wet weather driving. Car is nicknamed "SAUSSIE". Tom hails from Richmond, Virginia and is a member of MADROC. Tom's comments "This is my 2nd 311. My first love was my '69 SRL, that I autocrossed regularly (and usually won). I bought my RHD from a naval officer in Norfolk, VA. in 1976, and drove it every day for 3 years (until my wife got too pregnant to fit in it). I then put it into storage and forgot about it for a few years. On my 40th birthday, my wife made the following statement: "When a man hits 40 he is supposed to have a mid-life crisis, buy a red convertible and chase a younger woman. Well buddy, you married a younger woman, and I had your convertible painted red, so don't give me any crap"...and I haven't since. That was 16 years ago. Now its time to let SAUSSIE see what the outside of the garage looks like. Any helpful hints will be appreciated."
