Shannon Johnson's 1968 2 liter. Purchased 11/2006. U20 engine #06445, SUs, with a 5 speed gear box. Exterior color Candy Apple/Burgundy Custom with a black interior. No roll bar installed. Soft top available for wet weather driving. Currently a daily driver. Shannon hails from Encinitas, CA. Nick named "Not sure yet. Have to wait till she speaks to me". Shannon's comments "Purchased in the Bay area on 11/15/06 and drove it home to Encinitas (near San Diego). Currently deciding where to start. Engine was recently rebuilt (and it came w/ Solex carb! not installed though), but still needs other work. Ideally, upon completion it'll be a very clean, polished, well running car that I plan on driving a couple of days a week. BTW, this is my 1st roadster. I can't believe all the attention it gets. I guess many folks feel the same way I felt when I first noticed one (which was only about 3 weeks before I bought one) :-) Everytime I take it out I get several thumbs up and "What a cool car!" comments. Can't wait to hear the comments when she's all fixed up."
