Steve Nelson's 1968 1600 roadster. Steve hails from Albuquerque, NM. Purchased 5/1980. Engine # 59613, 4 speed gear box, exterior white custom, interior black. This car has been parted out. Steve's comments "OK, this is the car I started with, drove for a year, and was hit in while driving my girlfriend, my sister and her friend home from the ice cream store. The body was taken off, and a replacement was found (SRL311-13024). I still am using the frame. We were hit when a 78 Camaro came up fast behind us, passed us on the right, and lost control due to water on the road. He hit us, pushing the car into the oncoming lanes of traffic, and spinning us around 180 degrees. We ended up hitting the curb, and thank God there were no oncoming cars. Since then, I have limited myself to carrying one passenger." Sounds like a good plan-one passenger at a time.
