Steve Pettersen's 1967.5 2 liter. Purchased 07/2001. U20 engine #577, Solexes with a 5 speed gear box. Exterior color sora blue with a black interior. Roll bar equipped. Car has both a hard top and a soft top. Car is is a restoration project right now. Steve hails from Chico, CA. Steve's comnments "I kept my eye out for a 67.5 2L for a long time and ended up finding it right under my nose. A friend called me on his cell phone one Saturday morning. "Steve, this is Bill. I'm at a yard sale and there is an old Datsun Roadster sitting here; are you interested? "I might be, tell me about it. ..... After asking a few pertinant questions, I was zooming toward the yard sale with check book in hand. It turned out to be an estate sale. The owner had passed away and his son was clearing the place out. The previous owner had purchased the car from the original owner in 1969 and owned it ever since. According to his son, it was always his fathers favorite toy, but he only drove it occasionally, and it was always a second car. The odometer reads 52K and his son swears that is the actual mileage. It is easy to believe from the lack of wear on the pedals,original carpet,hinges ... The car is tight."
