Robert Shannon's 1966 1600. Purchased 05/2008. Was for sale on eBay 7/13/2004. R16 engine, SUs, with a 4 speed gear box. Exterior color red with an unknown colored interior. Car is located in Emporia, Illinois. Ebay ad comments "This is a vintage 1966 Datson 1600, very low VIN number #00115,in Cherry RED. The engine was rebuilt in 1999 by a guy in Liberty Missouri. When the car was purchased in 2000 (odometer reading 21,072) it was in the process of being restored by a Datsun enthusiast who passed away before he could enjoy it. The odometer now reads 35,600. It has recently had brake work, carbs redone, and new U-joints. Runs great! This beauty has all original interior. The dash is eye-popping, with a wood finish and all the guages. The seats are original and in good condition except for a tear through the middle of bottom of the drivers seat. It has a new premium German cloth top $350.00 in black, and also a white hard top that is in good condition. It has had some recent hail damage and the drivers side door has trouble opening and closing smoothly."Robert will update sooner or later. Robert hails from Surprise, Arizona.
