311 Skid Mark Sonoma County Run--November 17th, 2001

The Skid Marks held another run through Sonoma and parts of Napa County Saturday the 17th of November. This was our sixth run as a club. We had four cars show up. Again four is better than none but more would be better. Brian "Car" Jones brought his 1968 1600. Welcome Brian and we hope you had a good time. Eric and Susy Jackson brought their 1967 1600 and Mark and Mel Burchill their 1968 2 liter. Mark set up the route which provided some great roadster driving through some very pretty country. The only problem was geting yelled at by some stressed out lady in a mini-van to "Slow Down". --and we were not even going fast as the roads were a bit wet from the latest rain plus some leaves. Brian works at the Sterling Winery and offered to get us a free tour with some wine tasting. It was great fun and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The tram ride was the part I liked. From there we headed up HWY 128/29 and worked our way back to Mark and Mel Burchill's in Santa Rosa for a cookout. I burned the burgers and hot dogs and we sat around talking and eating. Below are some pictures of the run. Enjoy--we certainly did.
