R16 headbolt torque specs

I see that the headbolt torque is only 50 ft/lbs. for the R16. I am getting close to reassembly of the stroker motor. Do these engines have any history of troubles with head gasket sealing with this low clamping force? The U20 is 65 and my machine shop guy says small block chebbies run 65-70. I also see the ARP stuff listed elsewhere on this site calls for 65 ft/lbs. I'm on a tight budget so will use new standard head bolts.

Thanks for any input....

Scott
