Is there a good thread on carpet installation?
Things like keeping track of the holes for console, heater box and control box etc.

I guess poking an awl up the holes and carving out a little carpet after glued makes some sense. Just looking to learn from others where possible

One little point in my plan is to establish threads for all that are threaded and draw a map.

I found that, once you locate the holes, an old soldering iron works well to melt a hole through the carpet so you don't have to try and cut holes, pull threads, etc.

What size screw are the ones holding the trim to center console in a 67.5?

On 67 they are sheet metal style screws.
Not sure of size. I posted picks of original for Curtis abot three months ago

Ross sells some liquid grease. It's much heavier.
My box used to weep, but liquid grease stooped the weeping.
Very pleased.

Trying to bolt in my 5 speed transmission, is the cross member or the rubber mount the issue? Which one is the 4 speed? The rubber mount is not wide enough for the holes on the cross member.
** I got this car in a dozen boxes and trying to piece it back together. The gentleman I purchased it from had a few cars and just started handing me stuff!

I've never seen a tranny mount like that one - looks way too tall, then again it might have been a 'custom' fit -

what height is the cross member??

Currently have dash out.
Lights, turn signals, brake lights all work.
Light to 4 gauge works (grounded through oil line??) but none of the others do.
Are they grounded in some way?? which requires them to be connected to the dash??

Not sure what you have. Here is a pic of my 4 speed cross and tranny mount:

Looks like your cross member holes are farther appart.
So it's likely a five speed cross.

Does your mount bolt to your five speed? It does not look like the pictures of 5 speed mounts.
