The one I have in my car is painted black and the arm rest is covered in leather. The second one in my possession is leather wrapped and under the material it is still the red primer, which is why I am asking. Thanks!
Vinyl is the standard material and it really burns your arm if you drive it in the sun with the top down and slide your elbow on the box.
Leather is a much better choice for saving your skin from burn slides.

That made me laugh, because I thought it was for my question. I was going to suggest changing the thread to The Quick/Small/(Funny) Answer Thread.

Does anyone here own or know where SRL311-00311 is? Just curious. That would be a really really cool find if it's hiding in a barn somewhere:)

For a 1964 roadster flat dash, modern electrical system (Sr20de, ex wiring harness) do the ignition and headlight switches need to be isolated from the body (dash) or is it ok for power to flow through them to the body(dash)?

Why did I have to push start my car today?

It was running perfectly fine a few weeks ago. This morning it started...a little rough but it started. Lots of white smoke out the tailpipe at first, more than I expected since it was only sitting for 2 or 3 weeks. But it cleared out. I was low on gas and had a few misfires, stuttering at 3k RPMs and up, etc. Filled up the tank and then it won't start. Cranks, but nothing. Doesn't sound like it's even close.

Finally got it to fire with a rolling push start and drove it an hour on the highway. It was fine. Not great, but better. Very low idle (which is new) once I was in the city at stoplights which made me super nervous.

What gives?

Points gapped and clean?
Spark plugs gapped and clean? Pull the spark plugs and check for rust or oil fouling.

White smoke = water in the combustion chamber.

My guess would be lack of fuel. My car will start to do this if the fuel filter is clogged and the bowls can't fill fast enough.

It did feel lean on the initial drive with the sputtering over 3k rpm, but after I filled up the gas tank that got better. Just not great.

Plugs were just replaced and gapped correctly. Running pertronix ignition. I will definitely check the plugs to see if I can see any signs of lean-ness.

The difficulty starting thing is confusing to me. All was well a few weeks ago. Ahhh!

Is your fuel pump staying primed? Could just take a while to crank and get fuel flowing again.
