I'm new to the Datsun roadsters, I purchased a 66 roadster that has been upgraded to a 5spd. Is the clutch master & slave cylinder the same as the earlier non-5spd cars? I needed one & ordered a kit for 67 on up 1600 & 2000 models.. Don't know if they are the same. Any info would help.
Thanks, Greg.

Is there a resource to find out what color different items in the interior where?
What was chromed
What was polished
What was painted (and what color)

Items such as the ash tray, center counsel, top latches, back of mirror. Top frame, etc.

Thanks.

Is it normal that the rear carb piston seems much harder to manipulate up and down while tuning? Is it a vacuum thing or should I investigate further?

Try opening it up, then cleaning everything with carb cleaner and rag. Check that the needle looks straight.
Then when you put the dome back on tighten evenly and slowly , lifting the pin underneath as you tighten to be sure the piston is freely going up and down.

Thanks Linda. Yes, all things being equal it seems that the rear piston has much more vacuum force holding the piston in its spot.

Good thought. I have the carbs/idle balance/dogbones/ 2000rpm UNI-SYN as close as I can get but perhaps I've got vacuum leaks on one side that I'm tuning out with a large idle adjustment screw (butterfly pre-open) difference between the carbs. Mind you, If they're balanced, I'm making up for the vacuum leak with a more closed butterfly and therefor the vacuum the piston sees should be the same.

I guess I could rule it out by checking the initial idle screw setting by feeler gauging the butterfly.

I am assuming that they lift and drop evenly when the roadster engine is not running?
If not it may be like Linda said that the needle is rubbing on the nozzle.
Bent needle or nozzle out of alignment.

If those are ok and they go up and down with engine off ok then your correct to be checking the air balance at idle.

After a quick drive in the Roadster yesterday, my engine temp was hot and I was leaking coolant out of the coolant reservoir that's on the driver side towards the front of the car. I don't know what that reservoir is called... Coolant Overflow maybe?

Anyways... it almost looked like there could be a hole in the bottom of the overflow tank, it was leaking directly out of the bottom? What could be the cause of this over heating/leaking? where should I look first?! Thank for help!

You can take it out and try to pressurize it to see where the leak is.
Look for any places where there is solder to check for a leak.
With a soldering iron or propane torch you can fix it, or just take it to a radiator shop.
The tank is a nice brass underneath the paint, which I prefer. :)
