68 1600 in Madison

Hey everyone,

My name is Dan, I live in Madison, WI. I have been on this site for almost a year and looking for a car for about 2. I got into roadsters from reading Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car Magazine (check it out if you don't already know).

I finally found the right car this Saturday and brought her home. She is a 1968 1600 original black of original red interior. She has a few scratches and dents, but very little rust. Originally a CA car, it has been in the midwest for about a year. PO purchased the car through Mike Young. I am looking forward to nice weather and joining the runs with the rest of the Midwesters. Can't wait!!

Welcome Dan, good to have another Roadster here in the Midwest. I'm in the NW Chicagoland area & I too have a 68 1600. I'm hoping to join up on the Midwest Roadster Run at the end of June, you should try & make it too.

Thanks guys. I have been lurking around here for a bit trying to find the right car. I am very happy with my score. I am working out a minor brake issue at the moment, but everything else seems to be in great shape. I am hoping do the June run with Tim and the gang. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to afford a soft top in time, gonna have to run the hard top.
