Site Donations-No more Paypal/Venmo

I realize times are tough and understand if there is not much in the way of donation or none at all. If you do find the site and the forum useful any amount has been much appreciated. As of April 4th 2023, I will no longer have a Paypal or Venmo account. So, anyone with recurring donations can cancel them. Since Paypal considers me a business they want to report every thing I take into the IRS as income. I do not make a profit running this website. Donations help but much of the costs come out of my pocket. I do not need big brother breathing down my back for simply trying to get information to other like minded roadster owners. Very strange times we are living in. If you still want to support me you can send me a check, money order or cash. Just PM for an address. If this becomes too expensive for me to keep going I may have to rethink the whole endeavor. I want to thank all of those whom have donated in the past. I cannot tell you how much it has helped keep this website up and running. Thanks.

I wouldn't be in business without this site and it's community . I would also not have "met" alot of great people.
I should have done this long ago, but better late.

Also, don't forget the CafePress site. http://www.cafepress.com/datsunroads The hats are great.

Thanks Steve

This site is to blame for me buying a roadster, then not working on it because I'm always on these forums.

Another Jackson for the pusherman.

Steve, what about putting up a Paypal button for donations?
A great site. No spam, no ads, no sponsered links.

Again, thanks to all who have donated. At this point I seriously need to look at upgrading my hosting service to the next level. What with all the manuals, wiring diagrams, file(picture) uploads and such I am running out of disk space. I tend to exceed my bandwidth usage from time to time as well. I am in no way complaining and still enjoy maintaining the web presence. It is a pretty good community we have here. I am a bit behind in adding cars to the registry and updating the database driven version of the registry but I will catch up eventually. I had a PayPal button on the older version of the forum software but found it more effective to solicit once a year for donations. The first time I did that I was a bit embarrassed but that is no longer the case. More than you all care to know I am sure. Enjoy!!

Steve,

Sending off a donation too. There are so many situations where somebody sees a need and volunteers an incredible amount of time and effort and everybody else uses it for free.

I don't want to sign up for an "automatic withdrawl" feature like many businesses / organizations have but I certainly wouldn't object to receiving a periodic email donation request for something that benefits me in a very real way.

I've had my car for a long time but reading these posts really makes me realize that being classified as a "newby" isn't far off. What a timesaver to be able to ask questions of those who have gone before us. Paul

Steve:

Payment is on it's way. Since I wasn't able to make it to Solvang this year  , I'll send you some of my gas money.

The information on this site has been invaluable and the guys and gals (I didn't forget you Linda) who contribute are the best people and I hope to meet some of you next year at Solvang 2010.

I want to express my gratitude for the generosity of all the folks who have donated thus far. It is appreciated more than you know. The support has been more than I ever expected. I am glad so many folks find this a "not so bad of a place to hang out and talk roadsters or sports". Thanks again. Sincerely-Steve A...........................
