Red roadster - happened too fast to identify model - on street one block North of San Tomas Aquino Street, Campbell, CA.

Wasn't in mine - not even a Nissan - and spotted heading East. Anyone?

Spotted a red 66 or 67 roadster on El Camino Real just South of Carmel Valley in San Diego last week. Saw him 2 times but wasn't able to get his attention. Nice looking car but his top was up so deduct some points for that.

Thanks, no way to know unless he peeks in here to confirm. Was sitting in our car waiting for someone and only spotted the car from the back after it passed.... no visual of driver, wheels, any other identifiers.

But it was heartening for me.... only other roadster I've seen in the area in years even though I know there's a fair number of them in the area!

On another side note, I've gotten used to people staring and commenting on the car but when a 12 year old boy stops his bike in front of my house while I was outside with it and says, "WHOA, that is an awesome car!" well, he's destined for greatness. Hahaha.

Will do. Always over that way.... sis-in-law lives nearby; always there for parties/get-togethers. Look for us at the "crazy Halloween house" (the one with the lights, smoke, ghouls everwhere.... and that's just the people.) :smt005

Can I report a reverse sighting? I was trying to vacuum the PO's dirt and tarp debris out of my Roadster today and Bob Haug approached me. I was supposed to meet up with "Dynaguy" Pat today in Lewiston, ID to check out his resto-mod and flaked out. Bob follow me to the car wash and asked if I was the guy texting with Pat. It was a bit embarrassing as my project has barely started but he was very kind. So fortunate to live in such a small world, with two experts (who are so nice and willing to help) so close. I think they've probably convinced me to head to the "Palouse Days" show next month with them and embarrass myself :)

Sorry you could not make the trip. Bob told me he, by chance, had run into you. As far as experts....that's a stretch. Between us we have had 10+ roadsters in various conditions. More like highly experienced. We can point you to the real experts if necessary. Lots of spare parts between us and any helpful advise to make your project go as smoothly and cost effectively as possible.

The fact that you have your car running, stopping and mostly functioning so soon after 15yrs dormant is an example of your abilities.

Pat

I briefly spotted a red 2000 in Del Mar, CA, yesterday. It was a later model, tall windshield, and it was heading west on Via de la Valle around 6pm.

Was that anyone from this forum?

This is more of a "Well, it looked like a roadster" kinda post...

Wife heads off to work this morning and 30 mins later I get a text: "Hey, there's a car for sale you might be interested in over on Moorpark near the freeway entrance". (Like I need the encouragement for yet another car?? Laff...)

Me: "What kind of car is it?"

Her: "Not sure, looks like your Datsun."

Me: "Which one!?"

Her: "Oh yeah... the roadster."

I ambled over on my way back from visiting my S30 at the shop (undergoing some "no-parts-available-must-rebuild-existing-dammit" work).

It was an MGB.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....... :smt005
