I'm planning on being there. If hardly anyone shows up like last year,I'll be a shoe-in for second place again!
Daryl, will yours be ready?

Well.....I am waiting for my new header at the moment....I can't see that taking a month...Couple other small items to tie up......
Yes, barring catastrophic engine failure, I AM going to be there. WITH the car this year!
(Unless it's raining again....I don't have a usable top at the moment.......)
If everything is going well, I might even try the BC Spring Thaw run in May...........
(gotta make sure my BCAA membership is up to date for that one...

)

Anyone know what time this kicks off? I'll be driving down from Squamish and want to make sure I'm there in time to get into the show. There isn't a whole lot of info on their flyer and the dnbc.ca site is still advertising events from last summer.
Thx.

Yeah, they want people to attend, but don't post proper info.

I've been doing a lot of odds and ends with the car. Had some major oil leaks (my fault) which took 2 tries to repair because I believe I was getting too much vaccuum in the crankcase with my plenum setup. Hopefully that's fixed. Installing my backup light, new horns, new to me bushing for the steering column so it doesn't flop around any more (thanks Ross), heater switch that works, installed grill, reworked and painted the coil mount, and trying to get my console in......I SHOULD have the car there on Sunday, But I'll definately still be working on it. Maybe playing with the tuning while there......
Still lots on my list before the May 1st Spring Thaw Run..........

Great day, great show. I won best Datsun, which honestly I didn't deserve, some of the other cars there were so well done but I guess my car stood out in a sea of Z's and 510's. Whatever, I'll take it! 2 other roadsters showed up, I met Sean (I hope I'm getting his name right?) with the white '68 2000 but didn't meet the owner of the other yellow roadster with the swap.
Here's some pics...
My car:
Seans 1968 2000 (sorry about the crappy pic):
The "other" yellow roadster:
Turbo 510:
Another nice 510:

240Z rally car (competed in the 1997 Panama - Alaska rally, placed 6th out of 100!):
510 with modded tail lights (bluebird?):
Ross from sports imports brought this:
I don't think that's the original bumper though:
Jet powered Honda Ruckus (seriously!!!):
Here's the rest of my photos:

Congradualtions...
Thanks for taking a nice pic of my car.
Then only info I got from it was from this site...I am sure it could have a larger turn out if it was promoted at least
It was a sunny day so I decided at the last minute to take my father in law for ride out with the hopes of taking a look at the show. When I got their there was some confusion and they parked me in the show and shine..Great spot because I did not have to walk anywhere.
I did not enter my car I was just there to suport everyone else and see Daryls car.
I do have one issue and it's good one. I lifted my hood and trunk and went away. When I was leaving something was not right with my car so I pulled over and opened up the hood. Some one had pulled some wiring around to look at things and also turn my electric fan t-stat switch off. I was lucky that is all that was messed with on my car...How do you stop people from touching something that you put so much heart and soul into?

That's really lame. Everyone I saw around the cars seemed very respectful of them, but it's hard to watch your car throughout a whole show. Hopefully it didn't cause too much trouble for you.
If you want a high resolution copy of the photo I took of your car just let me know.
