Ignition stuff, free offer

Just wanted to put an offer out there for the racers. It's a freebie offer for you racers, so I didn't feel the need to use the Vendors Corner. I just got a new (20 year old) distributor machine. Unlike most of the older ones, which don't go above 6000 RPM this one spins up to 10,000 crank RPM. I've been playing with a variety of stock point and electronic distributors, odd things happen above 7000 rpm, timing bounces all over on some, retards on others etc. Since it's the off season for some of you, if anyone is wondering what their ignition is doing at high RPM, let me know, glad to check the distributors out and report back with your true advance curve for you. No charge for the work, you just need to cover shipping.

Dave,
That sounds like an interesting experiment. I'll get back to you on that. I'm getting ready to put it in storage for a while so I will be able to take it apart and fix things as well.
