Route 7 in NW Connecticut. Visit Lime Rock. Nice drive by a river.

Finger Lakes region, can't really go wrong, and as long as you can see a lake, hard to get lost. Also, between my garage and a few others in the area, if you break something, one of us probably has it in stock.

Old King's Highway in Massachusetts. Lots of nice scenery and historic places.
